1. Re: In Lightroom 5.7 there is a problem with rendering
JimHess Nov 22, 2014 6:04 AM (in response to Canadapt)Haven't seen that. How big are the images? What OS? How much RAM?

2. Re: In Lightroom 5.7 there is a problem with rendering
Canadapt Nov 22, 2014 6:06 AM (in response to JimHess)These are RAW photos ... about 20mb per file ... I have 24GB of RAM. It doesn't happen all the time and closing the program and re-opening it seems to temporarily fix the problem. Adobe better have a look at this ... do you know how I can get their attention?

3. Re: In Lightroom 5.7 there is a problem with rendering
JimHess Nov 22, 2014 6:15 AM (in response to Canadapt)You can report a problem here:
Photoshop Family Customer Community
But this appears to be an isolated issue because it isn't being reported by others. What are the pixel dimensions of the image? Are you generating 1:1 previews?

Keith_Reeder Nov 22, 2014 6:19 AM (in response to Canadapt)And again - OS?
Let's see a screen print of the problem.

5. Re: In Lightroom 5.7 there is a problem with rendering
Canadapt Nov 22, 2014 7:28 AM (in response to Keith_Reeder)OS is Windows 8.1. I am generating standard previews. Pixel dimensions are 6000x4000. For the moment I don't have the problem because I restarted the program so I can't do a screen print until it happens again. It has happened several times ever since I downloaded the new 5.7. It never happened with version 5.6 or any previous versions.

7. Re: In Lightroom 5.7 there is a problem with rendering
Innovatology Nov 29, 2014 6:03 AM (in response to fredza)I've found similar problems after updating to 5.7 with 18mp canon CR2 photos or TIFFs. Lightroom often gets stuck in a loop rendering to the screen. I see "Bezel" windows momentarily appear then disappear in the task bar. The LR title bar shows "not responding". All four CPU's are maxed out at 100%. It will sometimes recover after a minute or two, but usually I have to kill the lightroom.exe process. Of course I have optimized & recreated my catalog to isolate the problem, but to no avail.
Adjustment brushes, zooming in to 1:1 and panning or zooming out will frequently trigger this behavior. Toggling [F] Fullscreen and back too.
This happened very rarely in 5.5, but every 15 minutes or so in 5.7. I only used 5.6 for a short time, so I can't be certain whether that had the same problems.
