John T Smith Nov 22, 2014 8:47 AM (in response to jfrazee216)If you are on Windows, it is VERY likely that a Windows update has changed something
Display driver & Baddriver http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1370916?tstart=0 may help
If you are on Windows, do you have dual graphics?
Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound and then select Device Manager... In Device manager you click the + sign to the left of Display Adapters... and see if 2 are listed
IF YES, read below

jfrazee216 Nov 22, 2014 9:46 AM (in response to John T Smith)I have windows 8 and I checked to see if I had duel graphics. I only have one and the one listed was Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.
I updated the driver so its up to date, and windows update is up to date. Is there anything else that could be acting up? Because it was working just the other day perfectly fine.

Premiere Elements 9
Windows 8 (assumed 64 bit)
Be sure to be working from the 9.0.1 Update
Adobe - Premiere Elements : For Windows : Premiere Elements 9.0.1 update
Did you delete the BadDrivers.txt file yet?
To do that...
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
9.0
and, in the 9.0 Folder, is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. It is essential that you have Folder Options Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
We will be watching for your results.

Great great news "That worked,...."
That deletion of the BadDrivers.txt file has been a life saver to many users of Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and later versions.
The rationale for the BadDrivers.txt file deletion can be found in post 10 of the following Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 thread

Best wishes with your Premiere Elements projects.
