Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

Does your video use a VARIABLE Frame Rate or a Constant Frame Rate?

            Hi,

sorry but I am not as experienced as you seem to expect.

But I can answer some of your questions:

            1. I am using the latest version of Premiere Pro CS6

            2. The problem arised when a new graphic card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760) was installed

and it is not restricted to a specific video.

            3. 25 frames/s are used.

            Regards
            Manfred

John was expecting that after reading the various posts he recommended you would be able to better provide the information to give an intelligent answer. Also, please note that on the Overview page for every Adobe forum is a FAQ listed near the top that includes a list of info that is needed to ensure someone can jump in with some knowledge of how to help. "Latest CS6" is NOT specific. I quite expect you would not believe how many times a week someone posts "latest CS6" or "latest CC version" only to find, when they finally include the FULL numerical info on the "build" (found always on the bottom of the "About" page in the help menu) that ... it isn't "the latest" ... so please, when we fellow users ask for specific info, it's because we need that to help you.

              Basic info ...

OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/v/RAM ... dot-specific in every case, hopefully including drivers for the video card.

Software ... ANY software that has "touched" the video involved since it left the camera, or is used in your version of the "main" program, such as plug-ins, trans-coders, and all Adobe programs that may have been "involved" in the process. To-the-dot of the build.

The camera/s that produced the clips affected; the frame size (1080p or 720 or whatever) and the frame rate ... 23.97, 29.97, whatever; the codec and or wrapper involved such as H.264 MOV, Quicktime MOV, mp4, AVCHD, that sort of thing; the settings of the sequence/s involved for frame rate & size; if there are mixed sizes or rates in the same sequence; any and ALL "effects" such as transitions, colorist work/corrections, titling (done in PrPRo or Ae/Photoshop?), anything like that.

Give us the above info, and 1) you'll have a much better idea of what you are working with and 2) we'll have SOME chance of being able to help nail down the problem.

Note ... occasionally "we" get the problem in the first go-round. Most often, it takes a few posts forth & back before someone nails the correct answer. And always remember, unless you see "Staff" by someone's avatar, the rest of us here ... and the most of the people answering questions like yours ... are fellow users, most of us pro in one sense to FLAMING major pro, and taking our personal time to help others. Some of the better brains around here a "amateurs" but with major knowledge and experience. But ... we're all on our own dime? And even some of the staffers on here do it on their own time.

How to determine your nVidia driver version

Right click in any open area of the Windows desktop

Select NVIDIA Control Panel from the popup window

Select SYSTEM INFORMATION at the lower left corner

Driver version should be the 1st line in Details

                I have a GTX760 using driver 335.23 and Win8.1

Have you done the HACK to be sure your NVidia is being fully used (if the hack is needed for your card)?

If your nVidia card has at least 1Gig of video ram, use the nVidia Hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 - which is a simple entry in a "supported cards" file
