What is this 'free trial' I'm having?

      Hello.

I have a Windows 8. And my product is Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium.

I purchased this product about a year or so ago. And I already verified the product. I have everything that I need and it's working properly. However.....a few days ago, a dialogue box popped up regarding a 'free trial'. Now that 'free trial' is at 27 days. So I decided, maybe I'll go license it again, so I won't have to worry about the Suite closing on me after a month.

I went to Identit-e and typed in the Product Code that I had typed in way back when I first bought the Suite (so that I can get my serial number to input into the free trial dialog box), and it said something like it's not valid. Did my entry in their system expire or become non-existent? Why would I have a 'free trial' when I already purchased and verified the product?

I realize that Identit-e is geared towards students and teachers. I bought my CS6 PP when I was a student. I am graduated now, so does this factor contribute?

Also, I had to sign up again because apparently my e-mail was not in your system.

Please let me know if you require any more information.

      Thank you.

Did you happen to try and of the Cloud products?  I found that when I installed the Cloud manager on my machine it decided to take over my Creative Suite management as well... regardless that I cannot use any of the Cloud products on it.  I have yet to go thru the trouble of getting my Suites free and clear of it.

Did you purchase this software or diod the school provide it to you with payment to them as part of your tuition?  In some cases the schools only contracted for temporary licensing.  You might need to check with the school.

Thank you for your response Ned, it's greatly appreciated.

I have not tried any of the Cloud products. In fact, to be honest with you, I have no inclination to use the Cloud products. However, I can't recall if I used the Cloud manager to install the Suite, but I probably did.

It is somewhat a comfort that I am not the only one having an issue with the Creative Suite management, but sorry that it's been giving you trouble too.

There's like a total disregard that I purchased the product, but I'm not just riding off a free trial. I paid roughly $500 for my product since I purchased it from B&H; the school did not provide this software to me, otherwise I'd imagine I'd pay a much lower price.

I just need a rep from Adobe to verify that I purchased my product.

Okay, so I chatted with an Adobe customer service rep, and turns out it seems to be a matter of e-mail addresses, what e-mail my Adobe ID is associated with.

I had my Adobe ID previously associated with say, e-mail A. I decided to change my primary e-mail address from e-mail A to e-mail B (because e-mail A is now deactivated). The reason why my Suite was running in free trial was because e-mail A was still associated with my Adobe ID, and did not take into account for some reason that I changed it to email B.

After speaking with the representative, I was given a form to fill out, so they are processing that in order to transfer the license. I don't have my personal laptop with me, I'm at work....but in theory, when I return home, open an application (like After Effects or Photoshop), log onto that dialog box to verify my product, it should make the free trial go away.

Thank you both Ned & Jeff for your help! And thanks Customer Service for your assistance as well)))
