    Very Low Quality Sounding Export

    export problems Community Member

      Hi,

When I export my session in Adobe Audition it sounds very low quality and tinny despite sounding beautiful and rich in

the session. This is a documentary radio story.

The export format is a WAVE files, 16000Hz stereo and 16-bit. I can't figure out why it doesn't sound like it does in the session. I've never had this problem before.

Could you explain what you mean by 16000Hz? If that's the sample rate you used, I'm not surprised that this sounds a bit rough. Normally you'd export decent audio as 44.100kHz audio at 16-bit - i.e. CD quality. That has a frequency response potentially up to just over 20kHz. Sampling at a rate of 16kHz would cut off a lot of the high frequency content.
