Jon Fritz II Oct 10, 2014 1:17 PM (in response to chk3273)That has been moved into the main Properties window (Ctrl + F3). Hit the HTML button in the Properties window if you don't see it there.

John Waller Oct 10, 2014 1:25 PM (in response to chk3273)See DW 2014. - What Happened To Page Title In Toolbar?
Adobe decided to "improve" Dreamweaver and move it to the Property Inspector.
Not sure why.

3. Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
chk3273 Oct 10, 2014 1:36 PM (in response to Jon Fritz II)I looked in the Properties window and it was not there. I hit the HTML button in the Properties window and nothing happened. If I click on the Page Properties button in the Properties Window, it opens a new window with a box where I can enter the title. It doesn't seem I should have to do all that. Should I?

6. Re: Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
Nancy O. Oct 10, 2014 2:30 PM (in response to chk3273)I think there's a problem with your Template.dwt. I don't see an editable region for the <title> tag. It should resemble this:
<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="doctitle" -->
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
Title field is on your properties panel but it's above the target field. I think the reason it's empty is because of above problem with your main Template.dwt.

7. Re: Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
Frevani Oct 11, 2014 12:42 AM (in response to John Waller)I really dislike the fact they remove it. Now it's just faster to simply type the code in code view rather than going through various menu levels just to enter it.
This burrowing of simple text input is really increasing the workflow rather than making it easier. Not to mention that 99% of the tutorials all point to that page title input bar on the document bar.
If there is a work-around I really would love to know ...

8. Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
chrome88 Nov 22, 2014 1:05 PM (in response to Frevani)I agree with Frevani. I've been using Dreamweaver since v1 and they are going the way of Microsoft c.1990's and making change for the sake of change without any thought to how people actually use their product.

9. Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
John Waller Nov 22, 2014 2:41 PM (in response to Frevani)I agree.
I think the change was unnecessary, pointless and counterproductive to anyone trying to follow a DW tutorial.
There was no discernible benefit in such irritating tinkering. A classic case of change for the sake of change.

10. Re: Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 document toolbar.
Nancy O. Nov 22, 2014 2:52 PM (in response to John Waller)Not sure why they did this either, except maybe in preparation for other major changes down the road. I never noticed or used that title field even after it was pointed out to me in this forum. Most of my document titles are self-populated with PHP/MySql.
