please can you advise the licensing options for Coldfusion on the Windows Azure platform. Specifically with Coldfusion Enterprise how many instances, virtual machines/ cores can you run Coldfusion 10/11 on.
many thanks

It would work same as licensing on other virtual machine.

So reading the cold fusion 10 license agreement 3.1.2 it indicates that you can run 10 instances of cold fusion within a cloud network, so is it correct to assume that this is the same for release 11. i.e. if the Virtual machines are 2 core machines you can run 5 instances with the cold fusion 10 Enterprise license ?
many thanks for your response

Yes, ideally one user license key should be valid for one CPU(having four cores) on virtual machine..

Hi Kaif,
Thanks for your response, I am not sure I understand your answer, we will have 4 cores shared between 2 Virtual machines and do not have any visibility of the underlying hardware CPU's so would 1 Enterprise license cover our requirement,
Many thanks

As you are having 4 shared cores among 2 virtual machines, ideally one user license key would be needed for each of the virtual machines.
