Problem playing mp3 previews on music web sites

When I visit any Music web site (example: Amazon.com) and click on the play icon to preview a mp3 music file, I don't get any sound.  These web sites require Adobe flash player.   I do not have any other problem playing mp3 files or any other audio problems.   In my windows control panel I set .mp3 files to play using Adobe Flashplayer but the problem still exists.

My Computer profile:  Windows 7, 64 bit, Internet Explorer 11.  Adobe flash player is installed and  the Adobe flash player plug in is enabled in my Internet explorer.

Adobe Flashplayer version installed on my Computer:  Active X version: 14.0.0.145,  NPAPI plug in ver. 14.0.0.179, PPAPI plug in, not installed.

Note:  I attempted to download Adobe Flashplayer's  most current version and was unsuccessful.  I verified that the Adobe Flashplayer installer and updater applications are installed on my PC.  I run McAfee security which normally would ask the user to approve a download, but when I clicked on the "Adobe Flashplayer update web site's Download button" a small window briefly appeared and then disappeared.

      I would appreciate any advise.
