Mario Badilla Oct 26, 2014 12:32 PM (in response to henningko)WTF that would take me a whole day. There should be a solution for this, since we are paying for a very expensive software.

42. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
dstar72 Nov 8, 2014 10:22 PM (in response to Jeffrey82)I'm hoping someone, somewhere out there in the Ethos will know why I am getting error messages when I try to update MUSE (release date: August 13, 2014). I have uploaded screenshots of the error.
When MUSE started prompting me to "Install Now" when I started the program I avoided upgrading my OS to Yosemite. I hadn't done an OS update in a while, but my machine is 3 years old. Could it possibly be that OS 10.10 is not compatible with the newest release of Muse and now I'm kinda screwed because I can't revert to an older OS version since I don't have a start up disk.
P.S. I can log into my CC account in Chrome, Safari, Opera and Mozilla but I am consistently getting the same error message when clicking the update's download link .
Echo.... echo........echo

madcap@164 Nov 12, 2014 9:34 AM (in response to Jeffrey82)So is there a solution around the issue of Yosemite, i just upgraded to Yosemite and I am running Java 8.0 but I seem to be having the same error message (the creative cloud installation is no longer functioning, please uninstall and download again) I have uninstalled CC and to my luck nothing. I keep getting the same error message.
Is there a solution around this or a fix...?

d-katz Nov 20, 2014 7:24 AM (in response to Jeffrey82)I'm unable to open the CC Application Manager. When I try to open Creative Cloud it appears in task bar for about a second or two then dissappers. No error notice. Everything else works fine. I've tried several things:
-uninstalling and reinstalling creative cloud application
-repairing disk permissions
-using the cleaner utility after uninstalling
-changing permissions for adobe folders
-java is up to date
Any ideas???

frsdzine Nov 25, 2014 1:48 AM (in response to d-katz)I'm having this same problem. I was on chat last night for an hour or more, and they ran me through the same steps that were posted on this forum, and nothing works.

JGPatterson Nov 26, 2014 5:34 PM (in response to Jeffrey82)I've tried everything. Even had an adobe guy take over my laptop computer for an hour and a half. I don't think I'm the only one with this problem getting CC to work on Yosemite. For some reason, it works on my iMac, but now I'm wondering when THAT will stop working. The CC icon comes up at the top of my screen, then quickly goes away. Nothing I do gets it to work. The adobe guy told me the only thing else I could do was establish a new user account? Man, that takes forever to do. The problem is with the adobe software.

frsdzine Nov 26, 2014 5:49 PM (in response to JGPatterson)I went through that same scenario yesterday for the same length of time...on the phone with Adobe tech support while they took over my screen. Finally, she said that they KNOW about this issue, and they are working to correct it. However, in the meantime, the only way to get to the CC app is with a new user account. You can still update your existing software through the software itself, but if you want to download anything new or access assets and fonts, you need to go through the new account.

d-katz Nov 26, 2014 5:49 PM (in response to JGPatterson)Exact same thing for me. They wanted me to create a new user...so I did, which meant all new computer preferences. Guess what? Still didn't work.

JGPatterson Nov 26, 2014 5:51 PM (in response to d-katz)That was what I was thinking... create a new user account and it still won't work. Obviously a CC and Yosemite problem for some of us.

JGPatterson Nov 27, 2014 8:36 AM (in response to InfinityTheMonster)Sad to say, this did not work for me. I was so hopeful, too. I await a fix for CC from adobe. Still worried that it will fail on my iMac. Not sure why it is adobe has a way of overcomplicating everything.

54. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
Kari L Nov 30, 2014 11:11 AM (in response to JGPatterson)I can concur that the problem lies somewhere in Adobe's Adobe Creative Cloud application itself. I also used today several hours of Adobe support persons and my time to check out my system and doing uninstallations and installations. Even after deleting everything (plists, caches, etc.) related to Adobe out of Yosemite (OS X 10.10.1 with Java 8 r25) and doing full reinstallations, I could not get Adobe Creative Cloud application to stay running, it starts but immediately it quietly quits. I have normal admin rights to my Mac and if I start second session with Root user, this application starts and asks me Adobe ID like it should do on my normal account... so there is something going wrong how this Adobe Creative Cloud application handles and uses rights to run itself (or update data), but I could not find any working solution to that even after givin full rights to application and other locations where it stores data. Some applications you can install from site that was previously mentioned, but LR5 and Acrobat Pro XI seems to require serial numbers to work correclty even though I have fully licensed Creative Cloud =( Hopefully there will be working solution sooner rather than later.

55. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
JGPatterson Nov 30, 2014 12:33 PM (in response to Kari L)I wonder if Adobe knows this is a real problem for some of us? I'm not about to totally re-do my Yosemite installation only to find CC still won't work. Why should I? It should just work. I ask this all the time: why must adobe overcomplicate everything?

56. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
David__B Dec 1, 2014 3:26 PM (in response to JGPatterson)If you're being impacted by this I would recommend contacting our support. I've seen other reports beyond what is reported here. My understanding is some of the permissions in both the user Library and system Library folders get set incorrectly when upgrading to Yosemite. Uninstalling and reinstalling with root enabled will resolve it but a new user with administrative rights doesn't. I know our support has been collecting log files to pass on to our engineering department to better understand which directories are being impacted and are working with Apple to address the issue.

JGPatterson Dec 1, 2014 5:18 PM (in response to David__B)Well, I had an adobe tech guy take over my computer for an hour and half and that didn't do any good. Why is CC the only program affected? How about directions on how to fix this?

59. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
Vectorious_2 Dec 3, 2014 3:26 AM (in response to Jeffrey82)I've also experienced problems with a non-starting Creative Cloud app since upgrading to Yosemite on a Retina MacBookPro (but not on a MacPro)
I followed the advice mentioned in this thread - uninstalled everything, ran the Creative Cloud Cleaner and removed all Adobe related entries in the Library > Preferences & Application support. In other word, a total whipe out. Reinstall Creative Cloud in the hope of it running. This is what happens (VIDEO) http://bit.ly/1yNyB61
Basically, this situation means that I can only run Creative Cloud from my workstation at the office and not from my laptop when out in the field.
Lets hope, this gets fixed soon.
Cheers / Alex

62. Re: Adobe Creative Cloud CC Yosemite 10.10 Fix
Kari L Dec 4, 2014 3:45 AM (in response to Kari L)Yesterday I noticed something funny happening with Adobe Creative Cloud application when I was installing new network configuration and suddenly this App was available on the menu bar, but at that time I did not have working internet connection. When I got back home and started Retina laptop again ACC acted sames as before, so it quietly quit itself from the menu bar.
Fortunately I had Guest user access installed on Yosemite and when I logged in first ACC did the same, but when I looked over Guest user setting there was one internet address added to allowed to those addresses that can access internet and it was related to Adobe and Amazon. When I copied this address to Safari browser and tried to see where it takes me, I got immediately alert stating that this address doesn't have valid Certification although everything inside look like it's written by Adobe. Then I deleted this addition and wen't back to my regular user login and did all uninstallation and re-installation (with those Library-directory deletations)... but still ACC app didn't wan't to work and that was in my home internet. Unfortunately I did not capture this address or make a screenshot =(
Now today, when I connected Retina Laptop to company network ACC application started and stayed on Menu bar, it also asked me to sign with my Adobe ID and this also worked correctly... I'm little bit puzzled about this, the installed version is now 1.8.1.451 (from the preferences). Now I'm hoping that it will still work after I get back to home =D
Cheers,
Kari
