Recurring email for birthday

Hi

I wanted to check, if I set up an email being a Birthday greeting, will it reoccur again each year or do I need to set it up again each year ?

I came across this

Anniversary Dates Not Updating so don't work in 2nd year

and it does not actually specify whether it does not work for the birthday anniversary.
