Black screen when downloading Flash Player

I have a mac and I'm using version 10.7.5, I've had automatic updates with no issues until now. Its not showing that its being downloaded its just a black screen. I left it for over two hours and it didn't finish. Ive already uninstalled flash and adobe and reinstalled them both to no avail with the flash player. Anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?
