I am trying to update adobe flash player on my mac and i keep running into a very strange problem.  It keeps trying to open the installation software with a math software that i have on my computer called Matlab, which for some reason is set to its default application to open with.  I tried to open it with other applications but it still will not work and opens with Matlab.  In addition, when i download the adobe installer, the icon is unusual and doesn't look anything like the usual adobe logo.  it is a triangle and a square on a whit background with a lock in the top left corner.  Maybe this is a clue to why it isn't opening with the right software.  has anyone else had this problem or can offer any advice to fixing it??? Thanks.
