Can't authorize - I get a connection error. No previous ADE versions on this computer, no firewall issues.

I am going crazy trying to open an ebook from my library.  I am obviously connected to the internet, but I cannot get Adobe Digital Editions to authorize my computer.  It keeps telling me there is a connection error.  I have looked through several forums and answers, but none have worked so far.

exactly the same problem for me! I don't know how many time did i already lost to try to solve this problem. Adobe really sucks 😞
