Install digital editions 4.0

I can't install Digital Editions after Download. It can't be opened or executed. Help site doesn't work neither. I can't contact any support. I wish to download e-books on e-reader. Thank you for help.

what file (name and extension) did you download?

and on what computer os is that file located?

Before I had to download as well "Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0 Service Pack 1"

you should be downloading  ade_4.0_installer.exe.

Sorry, but exactly this is what I did. When I downloaded digital editions, the file is called ade_4.0_installer.exe. I repeated it and it doesn't work....

but assuming you do have that exe on your computer, what do you see after clicking, or double clicking, it?

After double-clicking it, the regular installing procedure goes. But when I click "ready" at the end, there appears for 1 or 2 seconds "delete file digital editions 4.0".
