AllenCobb Dec 17, 2014 9:48 AM (in response to ProDesignTools)James -- This is terrific! You've done us all a great service. Not only is it a very useful reference to all the major features of ID, but it's also a fascinating overview of the way ID has evolved, and affords insight into the ways apps in general evolve. It would be interesting to display your work as a timeline, in parallel with other related software and technologies. (If only I had the time...)
Thanks again, and have a happy holiday season,
Allen

firstfleet Dec 21, 2014 2:25 PM (in response to ProDesignTools)I have tried several times to download the InDesign book. Clicking on the green download button takes me to a blank page and that is as far as things go. I am using Firefoz latest version.

firstfleet Dec 21, 2014 7:56 PM (in response to JamesWamser)The download worked. The tiny URL gave a blank tab and the links in the
main sheet don't work for me. I'm having similar problems with the other free
Adobe pubs.
Thanks

AllenCobb Dec 21, 2014 10:10 PM (in response to firstfleet)It sounds like your browser's PDF reader setup may be messed up. Some browsers have their own built-in PDF display mechanism (like Chrome); others use a plugin from Adobe. To get around all of this, most links (including the tinyURL) will work if you do a right-click and choose "save link as". That will just pump the PDF onto your disk instead of trying to load it into the browser.

SusanaK!@7) Aug 19, 2015 10:56 PM (in response to ProDesignTools)I've now been directed to this page again some hours after I originally tried. The links simply are NOT working. This page doesn't even have a green download button, and every other link in the comments leads to the same page saying "sorry for inconvenience but try this link" and gives another link that simply does not work!!
So I'm going to bed without the book that was promised!

Made a couple little changes the other day. For example, now when you click on the 2015.4 in the upper right corner on the first 2 pages, it takes you to the 2015.4 update page in the guide.

ski2bfree Oct 7, 2017 12:23 PM (in response to ProDesignTools)What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to open or find the file. I have Dropbox. When clicking on the link it shows the Adobe InDesign bar and the new features but can't click on anything to take me to the file. I have tried the link at the top of the page saying it was modified and also the link directly above mine. Thanks in advance. I am a Creative Cloud member since day one.

ProDesignTools Oct 8, 2017 7:10 AM (in response to ski2bfree)As Rob pointed out, there's a "Download PDF" button at the lower right that you can use to grab a copy.
Or, you should also be able to browse through the guide online – try it with the left and right arrow keys.
Either way, it's not necessary to have Dropbox... The file now uses InDesign's 'Publish Online' facility, and is stored in Adobe's cloud.

Silly me! I had the browser window lowered on the screen a bit and my Dock hid the lower bar.
