How to reinstall Adobe Flash Player on a Win 8.1 PC

I relearned a difficult lesson this week.  Do not make changes to your computer without setting a restore point.  And I learned that even if you uninstall Adobe Flash, the computer still thinks you have it because it comes with Win 8.1, yet games requiring the program will not function. Oh,  and the Adobe site won't let you download another copy to reinstall onto the computer because it thinks you already have it.  Can anyone tell me how to get Adobe to let me fix my mistake?

One of my programs needed Flash Player and downloaded it for me!  So, Problem solved.  Thanks to all who are reading this.  I would delete it if I could.
