My system is Centos 7 x86_64 and the kernel is 3.10.0-123.13.2.el7.x86_64 .  The result of rpm -qi flash-plugin is 11.2.202.425 and this is the same version reported by the Adobe check your version page.  However,  about:plugins shows 11.2.202.424 and each page firefox visits which uses flashes gives a warning for outdated/bulberable flash.  Is there any solution to this.

Turns out it was Firefox issue.  Their database for plugins needed to be blown away and rebuilt.

Thanks for the response, but the page you reference does not mention Centos Linux only windows and MacOS.  I have already done a yum erase flash-plugin ; yum erase firefox.  Check and make sure libflashplayer.so had been deleted.  reboot the system and then yum install firefox, yum install flash-plugin.  The problem still persists.  rpm -qi reports 11.2.202.425 ; Flash Player Help also reports 11.2.202.425 but Firefox about:plugins reports 11.2.202.424,

Yeah but i can't really find anything on how to do it. I am not a Linux/Unix geek, but i quickly found out it can be solved by removing the default directory (settings, bookmarks, add-ons will be gone),

rm -rf ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/*

Or by doing this, which will work make Firefox work like intended (not sure if it will stay like this..)

sed -i 's/11.2.202.424/11.2.202.425/g' ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/pluginreg.dat
