I am 97% almost done just clicking the safari or firefox but it didn't work i don't know what is wrong.

Had this happen too. Here's the fix. Click on your Apple Symbol in top left corner. In the drop-down, Select FORCE QUIT. It will bring up another box. One at a time Select Firefox and then Safari …. Select Force Quit or yes or whatever it says. Then the Flashplayer install will finish.

That UI is confusing, but you're supposed to close the relevant programs.  The little white glow underneath the icons in the dock indicates that they're running.

You can click on each of them there, then choose Safari > Quit Safari (etc) from the upper-left hand corner of your screen.
