Adobe Flash Player trying to be installed is v.16 (AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_16_aaa_aih.dmg)
I mount DMG file, start installation app and enter OS X password for permission to make changes.
Then at first I see a window with progress bar at 0% with "Download Installation File" window.
I also get a message from my Little Snitch agent that app is trying to make an external request for download and permit all connections for it.
But then a progress bar is gone and I got only an empty gray window, that keeps hanging out there with no sign of activity (I kept it hanging for 30 mins or smth)
Tried to download another version of DMG file - the same effect.
Tried to make manual uninstall of previous AFP version using Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller app, provided by Adobe in FAQ section
Previous version is gone, but still have the same zero result with new one.
Please give a hint.

I have same situation. Same problem.
I try to install, try uninstall, try to uninstall with special uninstall-programm, try to remove Adobe Flash by my hands to basket. And always this process hangs.

Have seen an answer from one fair lady in the topic.
Now we can download the full installer directly from the site and then install it locally.
It worked well for me.

And at the bottom page we can see links for direct download:
I click for a link with Safari and download a usual DMG file with installer, which executes with no problem.
