installing Flash Player

I am having difficulties installing flashplayer to resolve a problem viewing a photobox on line photo album which will not now load on my computer (it has in the past!)

I have downloaded <install_flashplayer16x32_mssa_aaa_aih (1)> as the link http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ told me to do but when I try to install it by double clicking on it, I get a message saying on a red stripe across the middle of the screen "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher". This is after Microsoft security says it does not recognise the downloaded program and I have clicked on "Load anyway".

What info is required about my PC to establish which program version is needed? How do I get something that works/loads? my WEB BROWSER IS:Chrome 39 on Windows 8.1 My web browser is up to date!

Please send simple answers as I am a real novice at this!

Flash Player is a built-in component of Chrome.  There's nothing separate to download or install.

Flash Player for Internet Explorer on Windows 8 is also a built-in component of Internet Explorer, so there's also nothing to do there.

Thanks for that clarification and I will advise the folk at Photobox who are trying to resolve my problem with their site.Appreciate your quick reply.
