Hi. I have a Sony VAIO Notebook PC (2.4GHz Pentium, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP Home (SP3). I recently had to return my HDD to its original factory settings. Prior to this time I encountered no problems w/ the flash player.
When I go to install my hp PhotoSmart Premium Printer, the software indicates that the flash player is too old. I end up receiving a black dialog box when opening the hp Solution Center and have no access to the features associated therewith.
When I attempt to download the newer flash player (toward this end, I download from the local library on to a flash drive and bring it home to my computer, the flash player installation seeks to access the Internet, which I do not have at home).
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? If so, how was it (or was it) handled?
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Mike Govia
