I have problem to install flash player on my macbook

I've tried everything since last week, including re-install, clean install, install direct from Adobe web site, downloading offline, etc,. Everytime my installer stops at the middle of the way and I keep get an error message - “Error: General installation error”.  Please help!

Here's what I recommend:

Run the disk utility section described here first:

Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck - Apple Support

Then I would recommend doing a clean install:

Do a clean install

If you're unable to do this, boot into Safe Mode as described by the Apple link above, and try again.

Hi I have tried all of that and still get the same results. Is there anything else I can do? Since I've uninstalled the flash player I can't even get the old version to run like I use to.
