says I already have flash player installed but I don't?

Trying to download the latest flashplayer, but when I get to 66% it tells me I already have it installed although I've uninstalled it from my c drive, any experience of this, or help you can offer? Thanks, Terry

Run the uninstaller:

Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

Then run the offline installer:

Internet Explorer:

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Firefox and other NPAPI browsers:

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player.exe
