ADE - Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_STEAM_ERROR:

Up to now, no reply received from Adobe team.

I have purchased an ebook from Kobo.com  & downloaded the .acsm file there.

However, when I tried to open URLLink.acsm in ADE, it won't download the actual

ebook. Instead, I get the pop up error message above.

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_STEAM_ERROR

How to fix this? I've already authorized my computer using my Adobe ID.

Please help.

I encountered the same problem and followed the advice given to me on my posting.

I had installed ADE 2.0.67532. Everything was fine, but with the latest book from google, I got this E_STREAM_Error. I installed in addition in separate folder 4.0.3117585, but kept the standard link to 2.0. With ADE 4.03 I could download the book, and I can read it in both versions.

So this might be the solution for you as well.
