Does HHActiveX.DLL work on Vista for browse sequences in the CHM file ?

          Hi Tom

I'm not sure. I'm doubtful it will, but it might. Next time I boot into Vista I'll have to try it!

          Cheers... Rick

Yes, it does. I just made the boss a guinea pig and browse sequences work
            just fine.

              Hi Cheryl,

How do you install the HHActiveX.DLL on Vista ?

              Thanks-Tom

                Hi Tom.

The same pre-Vista installer package for the software deployed on Vista
installed the HHActiveX.DLL. There were no additional steps required.

                  Cheryl,

I haven't heard of the pre-Vista installer package for the software ? Can you tell me more ?

                  Thanks much, Tom

Sorry for the confusion, Tom. Various neighbours have cooked up a plot to
                    deprive me of sleep.

I was referring to our software installer package (our setup.exe created
with InstallWise) which handles the installation of DLLs. The same setup
we've been using for a year is working on XP and Vista machines with no
adjustments. It never occurred to me to check if the browse sequences were
                    working until you mentioned it.

So, if my users (internal or external) don't have HHActiveX.DLL already installed on their OS, how do I distribute it to them

? I'm already sending them a CHM file that is supposed to operate a stand-alone help file, but I want them to also be able to use the glossary and browse sequences.

You'd have to include it with the CHM file being installed. Your developers can include it as one of the file to install (e.g. the CHM and the HHACTIVEX.DLL files) in their installation file.
