Uninstall the plugin.
Also, you might want to use SWFObject - it's a lot nicer:

Agreed. :) The most convenient way I can think of is to use Alessandro
Crugnola's Flash Switcher extension for Firefox.

Agreed again. Geoff Stearns even wrote a Dev Center article on its use:

Yup - and if you look at Adobe.com you'll find they use SWFObject - and not
their own creation... Shows you which one is better, for sure.

PS - I wanted to mention - I have this installed and could never get it to
work properly (at all). Any ideas? Did it just work for you? I have the
latest FF, so I'm not sure - maybe I need to uninstall the extension and try
again, as I think (if it works) this would be a great utility.

The odd thing is, it can be temperamental, though lately not as much as
it used to be (at least, it seems that way).
Sometimes the extension locks on to a given .ocx (or .dll, or whatever
the plugin actually is) -- because the already-installed one was currently
in use. Makes sense. It doesn't *always* do that, though. When it does, I
have to shut down Firefox and open it to a blank page, then run it again.
Then it tends to be fine.
But even with that occasinal hassle, I still find it more convenient
than manually swapping out the .ocx (or .dll, or whatever).
