CF10 Upgrade - Previous license key not accepted by installer

We have 32bit CF10 running on Win 2003 32bit.  We built a new server to replace the old one and need to install 64bit CF10.

We originally purchased an upgrade license from CF8 Standard to CF10 Enterprise.

The installer accepts our CF10 Enterprise license key,but will not accept the original CF8 key as the "Previous version".

Has anyone encountered this issue?

Thanks!

Hi Teresa,

We have checked both the license keys. CF8 license key is correct, however, CF10 license key is an UPSELL license. That's why, you are facing the issue. Can you ermail us at cfinstal<AT>adobe<DOT>com OR cf<DOT>install<AT>adobe<DOT>com. We will take care of this and revert to you.

Goto C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\lib on your old server.

Open license.properties file with notepad. You will find below details :

sn=

previous_sn=

sn is your cf10 serial number

previous_sn is CF 8 serial number.

Use both to activate your new server.

Thanks,

Rahul
