Hi and help :-)
Have a lots of tables with numbers, and some cells are empty (indicating 0)
The empty cells only has “end of paragraph” showing when hidden characters is on.
I want to add a “-” in the empty cells.
Is it possible to make a GREP search for this?
I can find “end of paragraph”, but how to only add “-” to the empty cells, keeping the cells containing numbers untouched?
Is it really an end of paragraph, or an end of story marker?
For an empty paragraph you should be able to search for ^\r and replace with -$0
If, however, there really is no content in the cells (you see the # and nothing else), I don't think GREP is able to add the hyphen.
Its an end of story marker, only the # sign.
^\z - work fine for finding Paragraph and End of Story.
-$0 works with find next - change - find next - change…
But Change All si not picking up the GREP.
I couldn't get the -$0 to work at all with ^\z in CS6, so consider yourself lucky.
