Unable to install because internet explorer is open and can't be closed?

When we try to install abaobe flash player we get an error message that says internet explorere os open. How do we close it when that is the medium we are using to download?

After downloading the installer, you'll need to close the browser for installation to continue.  If you've already closed the browser and still get this error open Task Manager and look for a 'FlashUtil...' process.  If it's there go ahead and terminate it.  Installation should proceed successfully.
