In the CF8 Admin, does anyone have any insight on the optimum setting for the

'Maximum number of threads available for CFTHREAD'

The default is set to 10. What would happen if I set it to 500?

Setting a number of cfthread in admin means the maximum no of cfthreads that can run in parallel. If you try to create a cfthread when the no of cfthreads running at that point of time has reached the max limit, the cfthread will get queued and will start executing it when some thread becomes free. When you set it to 500, it does not mean that there will be 500 cfthreads running at all the point. It is the max limit. The min limit will remain at 1.
