Adobe Flash Player ActiveX is not required to install in Win 8, Is this based on OS or IE version and from which version Of Windows and Internet Explorer, Flash Player ActiveX is not required to install separately.

Hi Team,

I am deploying Adobe Flash Player ActiveX for my organization.

As i came across that ActiveX is not required to be installed separately for Win 8.1

Is this based on the operating system or Internet Explorer version.

It will be very helpful if i can get the versions of IE and windows from which ActiveX is not required to be installed separately.

Hello,

Beginning in Windows 8.x Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Interent Explorer.  Microsoft also releases updates to Flash Player in Internet Explorer via Windows Updates. 

For Windows 7 and below, you'll need to install Flash Player for IE.

If you organization uses non-IE browsers, you'll still need to install the plugin for non-IE browsers (for all versions of Windows)
