Unable to install latest update of Flash Player with Yosemite OS

I have followed all the instructions on the forum as well as searching the internet for solutions. I have uninstalled Flash Player, rebooted computer, closed browser (Safari), tried to install but it shows up then the screen goes blank. Finally, I get an error message that it is unable to install Flash Player.

What gives?
