I think the app called Total Menu by Flash-Extensions.net in the Adobe Extensions section may be what I need so I'll give it a whirl.
Colors/Swatches is a different thing altogether. You can find a extension for it if you search for it.
regarding the Fonts menu I have a suggestion . Use a comboBox and try this: (Check for syntax errors in that, I have just typed it without referring). TextField.getFontList() returns an array of all the Fonts present on the PC. Thats the trick use this array and populate the comboBox :) Hope this Helps
many thanks for your post - your code worked first time AFTER I put on the Stage a comboBox titled myCombo so that I could see the result.
last night I discovered the command <getFontList()> and managed to get it to list the installed fonts on my pc BUT then I needed to figure out how to get that info into a matrix so that I could make use of it; your code does the job very concisely and has saved me much grief, especially as I've only just got my head around the ComboBox component .
Because of your post I also now know about the command <addItem>.
I understand your comment about colour and swatches, I've found a colour picker app in the Exchange forum here so I plan on making use of that in my scripting efforts along with your contribution, thank you.
