Latest Adobe 17 gets to 30% and freezes on Mac 10.10

Trying to download the latest Flash Player update - (17.00 whatever) - the install gets to 30% and then freezes. Can only force quit.

On Safari it says out of date and will not run the previous version. Clicking on the download update just brings you to the page to download the latest version of flash which, for those of you just joining this thread post, will not install because it freezes at 30% and I have to force quit the installer.

Going to the test page in Firefox it says version 16.000.305 is installed but at least it'll work in the browser

I'm on Mac OS 10.10.2. Help would be appreciated.

If it is of any comfort, I have the same problem and I can't get an answer from adobe

Adobe use to make great products, but lately they seem to rush to get up dates out and they rarely work well. I'm not sure anyone can up date this junk! Mine does the same thing 30% freeze.

I saw this fix in another thread...tried it and it seems to work - your mileage may vary.

Flash download freezes at 25%. What will help?
