When I try to download the latest vs of Flash the info in the sign in box has the wrong ID. I can get onto the website with the address (not the password....the address) but the download box.

I'm having a problem with my sign on info being incorrect when I try to download the latest Flash vs. It has my sign on name as my full name - not what I use to sign into adobe. How do I correct? The website has it correctly.

Hi,

The password prompt is being displayed by your system, not Adobe, and is the password you use to log into your computer, not the Adobe ID password.  Please see What userid & password do I need to install Flash Player?

Thanks very much - it was easy when I knew what password to put in. Pity Adobe can’t tell us less computer literate people what to do . But anyway I am very grateful. Angela

Hi,

The password prompt comes from the OS, not Flash Player. Since it's an OS prompt, software providers can't augment the dialog text.

My issue is with my Apple ID from way back when I first got the MacPro it seems. Looks like they’re next with my questions.

You don't need an Apple ID to install Flash Player, but your system's administrator password.
