Adobe Flash player won't install.

I've downloaded the installer. Double click to open. It gets as far as 25% downloaded and stays frozen there for hours. I tried to leave it to install overnight and it says it loses the connection. Seriously frustrating. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still not working.

I've got OS X 10.10.2 and I was running Adobe Flash player 16.0.0 until I deinstalled it.

Yesterday morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.  Please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer, clear the browser cache and either:

Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer, OR

Download the stand-alone installer posted at the bottom of the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html in the ‘Still having problems’ section.
