After a  system recovery I re-downloaded Firefox and can't stream videos.  Youtube works ok, but can't stream videos on another site I usually go to.   Chrome streams fine. In checking on the plugins for Firefox, there is no flashplayer available.  I tried to download flashplayer from the adobe website and although it downloads and installs, it doesn't show up on the screen after.  It shows up in the control panel, but there is no amount of MBs at the end of the entry.  It also does not show up on my desktop.  What gives, anyone know?

You might want to try downloading from the following Adobe website. Go down to the bottom where it says, "Still having problems?".

Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows

If that does not work you might want to post on the forum during the week when Adobe staff supplies answers.

My OS is Windows Vista Home premium, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 36.0.4. I do not get any error messages, it downloads and installs and then doesn't open.  I don't even get a message saying it didn't install properly.  The page i usually go to for my streaming video is http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/internet.  The space on the page where the video is supposed to show remains white, there is no frame provided for the video.  That is about as much info . as I can provide.  Thanks.
