Why Flashplayer won't recognize my password?

I have tried to upgrade, install and reinstall Flashplayer unsuccessfully on my Mac OX 10.7.5 version.  I had it previously, and then suddenly I was told to upgrade, and could never get any further.  It won't recognize my password no matter what I do.

Hi,

What has not worked?  The OS, not Flash Player, is prompting for the password.  If you are having problems with the password, you'll need to contact Apple, not Adobe.
