A new version of the Adobe RoboHelp 7 Reviewer's Guide has been posted on the main product page.

http://www.adobe.com/products/robohelp/pdfs/robohelp_7_reviewers_guide.pdf

It contains 22 pages of screenshots, tips and tutorials and has HTML, Flash and FrameMaker files attached to the PDF for use in the many "Try-it" tutorials. This is a good way to get your feet wet if you've just downloaded the trial. In coming days there will be Adobe Captivate animated demos as well. I'll post here when I've found out they've been uploaded.
Thanx,
john

Hi John,
Can you tell me how to print out the entire version 7 help at one time? Also, the available downloads only go up to 6 on the adobe site. I'm asking because I recently purchased version 7, and have only RoboHelp 7 for dummies as reference text (and while well-written, it's very much out-of-date). Please help! Thanks!

Hi, Carol.
What version of the Acrobat Reader are you using? The menus are a bit different.

If using Acrobat Reader 7, look on the left hand margin for a Tab titled, Attachments.
If you don't see the Tab, try this command:
View > Navigation Tabs > Attachments

Or some Reader versions
View > Navigation Panels > Attachments

Once you see the files, select them and click Save to put them on your hard drive. Now you can use them in your exercises.
I don't have other versions on my computer so perhaps you are looking at something else? Let me know if the above works.
Thanx,
John

Does anyone know whether the Adobe Captivate animated demos are available? And, if they are available, are they free to download?

I'm evaluating RoboHelp 7 for my group and I was hoping the demo would be available by now. I downloaded and installed the trial version without any problems. I have also opened an X5 project in 7 without any difficulties. I'm very happy with the new features!
