updating flash on macbook running yosimite

hi - I'm trying to update flash player on my macbook, running yosimite, it keeps saying an error has occurred try downloading again, i have tried numerous times and tried to uninstall flash completely - does anyone have any ideas? - many thanks

Please don't post the same issue multiple times. I've deleted your other duplicate post.

We're aware of the Mac installer quitting unexpectedly and are working on a fix.  In the mean time, please use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section.

I've tried this and have the same issue, sorry but i can't see any mention of an offline installer?

Hi treefrogjames,

Yes, that is the offline installer.  If you're having difficulties installing using this version, please provide details on what happens when you use this installer.  The online installer (the one downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer) is a shim installer the downloads and installs Flash Player in the background. The offline installer is the full installer and doesn't download anything in the background, therefore, it won't return a downloading error (your original post).  If this one doesn't work it's for a different reason and we'll need details on what's happening when you use this one.
