Text Entry Box

We have been experiencing the following problem in Captivate 2:
We have created a simulation, which requires users to enter a text via
text entry box. We defined all possible answers of the correct entry
(letters all lowercase, uppercase or both) in "correct entries" area.
However, after we publish and run the simulation, it hangs when the user
enters the correct text having spaces at the beginning and end of the
correct text. For example, if the correct answer is "Turkey". It does
not accept " Turkey ". As a result, it does not jump to the next slide
in the simulation and gives us incorrect message.

We would be grateful if you could help us to solve our problem.

Hi Refika K and welcome to our community

As you have seen, Captivate has no way of stripping spaces from a term. It is totally literal and counts a space as one of the characters. If you would like to suggest to the developers that its behavior be modified to work in that way, you may do so by clicking here and completing the form you should find.

First of all thank you for your kind help. Let me ask a question about Captivate 3. As far as I know, captivate 3 is available. The question is that: The text enty box problem that I have experienced with captivate 2 solved in captivate 3 or not?? Plase inform me about innovations of captivate 3...

There is no change in the text-entry box behavior in version 3, Refika K. On the other hand, using spaces can trigger a correct answer in version 2. Just configure the acceptable answers to include an entry with the spaces ... or am I missing something?? I just don't see a problem, so perhaps that is the case ... (?)
