You can import as many gigabytes as you like - there is no limit on that.
The 2 gb limit refers to cloud storage, and it's up to you whether you want to use that service or not.
Do you select individual pictures go to cloud storage or do you select if all pictures get imported to the cloud?
I've never used Adobe's cloud storage, but I see that I have a folder called Creative Cloud Files in C:\Users\username, and I think you'd just save your files there, and they will be automatically uploaded.
But again, using that service is entirely optional. It's a common misconception that Creative Cloud means that all your work an applications are in "the cloud", but the fact is that it works line any other application on your computer.
