Getting multiple error messages using ADE w/Nook Simple Touch after years of use; cannot transfer or return books

Have been using Nook Simple Touch with ADE for couple years no problem.  Upgraded to 4.0 and started having problems.  Reverted back to 3.0, unauthorized and reauthorized and still cannot use.  Cannot transfer library books, download them or return them.  Disabled and very dependent on Nook.  Really need help.
