Multiple logins

I want to be able to password protect a DB using coldfusion login page. I need to be able to setup multiple logins and be able to track when they login and logoff.

Can setup an individual login but cannot get multiple logins to work. Have created an access Databse to store details in but not sure how to get it to connect and work correctly

Is the idea to password protect the DB itself from further edits while the user is logged in (i.e. ms access password protect), or is it to simply deny other logged in users edits until the first user logs out?

I want to be able to restrict access unless they have a userid and password with it pulling the information from a databse with usernames and passwords allocated. Unless there is an easier way to do it.
