Hi, I've just completed an evaluation of Captivate v. Camtasia - no contest!

As I start out in my new role of producing interactive videos for education, I have a couple of questions:

a) Is it possible to have a yellow 'highlight' around the cursor a la Camtasia? and

b) Why, when I move over to use the vertical scroll bar, does the cursor 'slide under' the bar?

all help gratefully recieved!

Hi grafikhaus and welcome to our community

Unfortunately Captivate doesn't offer the cursor highlighting that Camtasia does. There is simply no matching functionality. Not that I've ever seen.

Sorry, but without seeing a screen shot of what you are seeing (or something similar) I have no clue what you mean with the cursor "sliding under" a bar.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks for that, Rick.

Basically, imagine using the Internet as normal - move your cursor to the vertical scroll bar and it appears over the bar. When i play back in Captivate, it 'slides under' the bar.

It may be a layer order problem.

Try right-clicking the Mouse layer on the timeline and select "Bring to Front".
