I've changed to a new computer.  When I try to transfer an ebook to ADE, I get an error message: check activation. The authorizations seem to be in order.  What is the problem?

For this problem, you need to deauthorize and authorize ADE again.

Mac:

1. Go-> Go to folder.

Go to folder dialog will appear.

2. Type   ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions

drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

ADE will be deauthorized now.

Now Authorize ADE again [Help -> Authorize Computer].

Windows:

Choose Start > Run.

In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

Your authorization will be deleted.

ADE will be deauthorized now.

Now Authorize ADE again.

I have the same problem and i tried the procedure you explain. Now, when i try to Authorize ADE again, i have a error message : E_LIC_ALLREADY_FULLFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. I don't understand because my boyfriend also tried to open the book on his computer and have also followed the procedure above.

What can i do ?

Hello,

"E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" error comes when you previously downloaded the book with some authorization credentials in ADE.

Now again if you try to download the book from same download link but current ADE authorization is different, you will receive this error.

Solutions:

1. Make sure ADE is authorized with same credentials, as it was authorized when book was downloaded for the first time.

Then this error will not come.
