What error are you getting?

Is this IIS or Apache? Did you run the web connector tool?

Do you have any mappings setup? Is there an application.cfc?

I assume you are talking about cfm files in sub folders to the root and not somewhere completely outside of the root.

IIS, Windows 2008 R2 ,,, did run the connector, the localhost/cfide/administator/index.cfm and all its files work fine.

However, all the other web sites on that machine will only run the default index.cfm once and only when called  like : http://mysite.com, if the default is index.cfm .. it will run fine, however no other .CFM page will run, and if you go to another directory to an .HTML page, and it has a home button, the INDEX.cfm will not run called from inside the web site.   The error was 404 file or directory not found

Was the other sites added to IIS AFTER installing coldfusion and running the web connector?

If so, and probably worth doing anyway. Run the connector again (as administrator), remove what is existing and re add the IIS sites to it.

Probably worth re running the connector if you haven't already. Also as mentioned in previous post, did you have mappings set up in your existing coldfusion setup?
