Background updates, stand-alone station

There is a quite simple station Windows Vista based.

It connects to Internet. No own servers are in use.

Regular work is done as non-administrator user. Administrator visits this stations very seldom.

What are all necessary setting the Adobe flash player updates automatically in background

as soon as a new version with security fixes included is released?

Adobe Updater Windows Service is present and installed.

Scheduled tasks is present and setup.

mms.cfg with two-lines has been found under windows/system32/macromed/flash/

Any thought the updating in background does not work.

Hi,

Please see the blog An outline of Flash Runtime installation options, specifically the 'Installation Options' section.

Hi forumoe

Are you distributing Flash Player within your organization?  If so you can license Flash Player for distribution and then host the Background Update resources locally.  This would require you to post the new resources to your local sever whenever there is a new release.  You can find more information on this, including information on licensing Flash Player and the requirements to setting up a local server in the Flash Player Administrator's Guide.
