I have attempted to download the updates to both Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader multiple times, but I keep encountering the same error for both. When I get to Step 2, and I try to open the installer file, nothing happens. I have tried both allowing and blocking the old version of Flash, as well as closing my browsers and opening the file from my Downloads folder, and neither has worked. I am using an HP laptop (don't know exactly what model) with Windows 8.1 and the latest version of Firefox. Can anyone please help me?

Hi. Both plugins have been installed and are working properly now. I think it was probably due to my Antivirus software; I ran a Quick Scan of my system, and the installations were able to go through. Thanks for the advice.
