adobe fl player on mac mini

My mac mini ( OS X 10.9.4,  Safari 7.0.5,  &  Flash player 18 version)   shows that the installation of Adobe Flash Player v.18 was a success.  However, the Adobe Flash player icon does not appear in my applications folder.  Shouldn't this icon appear ??  What does it mean?

Hi rogerm1623‌,

Flash Player is a plugin to your browser so we don't display it in your Applications folder as it is not an independent application. But you will see a Adobe Flash Player Install Manager File in your Utilities folder which manages Flash Player Uninstallation

If there are settings to be changed within Adobe flash player, would those settings be found in the install manager file? If not where? Just want to know where my options are, if available...
